As a Support Worker, you will provide essential support to individuals in need, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their well-being. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
You will become competent in the following tasks:
* Assist clients with day to day tasks and activities.
* Help clients with mobility and transfers
* Provide companionship and emotional support
* Administer medication according to prescribed schedules
* Assist with meal planning and preparation
* Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying up
* Escort clients to appointments or social outings
* Document client care activities and report any changes in their condition to the supervisor
Skills:
* Empathy and compassion for others
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Ability to work well in a team environment
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Patience and understanding when working with individuals with diverse needs
* Ability to follow instructions and adhere to care plans
