Challengers is searching for a new Youth Project Manager! With 25 play and youth schemes across Surrey, Hampshire, West Sussex, and Berkshire, we require a dedicated number of Project Managers to oversee the running of these schemes.
You will be joining the Challengers Operations Team who manage all the Challengers services in an innovative, exciting, and growing voluntary sector organisation. The Project Manager will need to be a driver and enjoy a mix of management and being ‘hands-on’. The Youth Project Manager will plan and manage three of our play and youth projects across the South-East. In return, you can expect to receive exceptional support, an incredible sense of job satisfaction, a laptop, and a phone!
We'd like to meet:
* Someone who knows how to play – you will embody and understand the importance of play and youth work for children and young people.
* Someone who can work with other people effectively including play workers, parents, social workers, and head teachers to ensure children are happy and safe at Challengers.
* Someone who has worked with disabled children and young people.
* Someone who has set up projects – big or small – and made everyone else want to be part of your project!
The Charity!
Challengers is a charity with an excellent reputation delivering Play and Leisure services to over 1,400 disabled children and young people across the South East. At Challengers, disabled children and young people play, relax, make friends, and truly feel that they belong. At the same time, families with disabled children can use these short breaks to pursue ‘ordinary’ activities such as shopping or spending time with their other children.
Why Challengers?
Recent employees have said:
* “No two days at Challengers are the same, it is a vibrant and dynamic workplace”
* “Challengers is the most rewarding, fun, and exciting job ever”
* “Never have I worked at a place that is so positive”
Safeguarding
Challengers is committed to safeguarding and protecting the children and young people that we work with. As such, all posts are subject to a safer recruitment process, including the disclosure of criminal records and vetting checks. We ensure that we have a range of policies and procedures in place which promote safeguarding and safer working practice across the organisation.
