Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will be at the forefront of diagnosing and treating diseases by preparing and analysing tissue samples. You will perform routine and specialised histological techniques, including embedding, microtomy, staining, and immunohistochemistry. Your role will involve ensuring quality control, adhering to laboratory protocols, and maintaining safety standards. You will keep accurate records, manage laboratory equipment, and collaborate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate diagnostic information. In advanced bands, you may also train junior staff and contribute to research and development within the laboratory. Qualifications and Experience: • Relevant qualification in Biomedical Science • Current and valid registration with the HCPC • At least 6 months of UK experience within a histopathology lab • Proficiency in histological techniques such as microtomy, embedding, and staining • Strong understanding of laboratory protocols and safety standards • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records • Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals Why work with Pulse?
