About the Role:
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Support Worker to join a welcoming primary school in Lydiate. This role involves working closely with the school’s SEN unit, providing 1:1 support to multiple pupils with a variety of high needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive team, where your efforts will help pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The role will initially be offered on a temporary basis through Teaching Personnel, with the potential to transition to a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored 1:1 support to pupils with a range of SEN needs.
* Assist with classroom activities, ensuring pupils are engaged and supported.
* Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff to implement individual learning plans.
* Encourage the development of independence and confidence in pupils.
* Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents as required.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children with SEN (in a school, care, or other relevant setting).
* A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning and development.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Relevant qualifications or training (e.g., Teaching Assistant Level 2/3, SEN training) are desirable but not essential.
