We are seeking an experienced brand leader who thrives on high-level scientific exchange and the sense of reward achieved from bringing a first-in-class treatment to patients and the impact this has on their and their family’s lives. It is a role with an extremely high level of autonomy, visibility, and the unique chance to influence how our asset(s) and Stemline are positioned and perceived in the UK.
The Haematology Brand Lead will be responsible for the development and implementation of critical commercial strategies and tactics to ensure the optimal management of our brand(s) in both the UK private and NHS markets following reimbursement.
Through insight gathering and market understanding the successful candidate will develop comprehensive tactical plans and materials to ensure the optimal positioning, adoption of our brand(s). The role will involve cross-functional collaboration, KOL engagement, meticulous planning and leadership- this is very much a role where the successful candidate will be seen as the ‘Brand Champion’ across the UK organisation.
Responsibilities
* Setting the strategy and tactics for the brand(s) cross functionally and lead the cross functional team.
* Effectively managing new and existing agencies to drive materials development.
* Collaborating closely with global marketing, to review and adapt all materials which are provided by global and participating at global brand team-meetings.
* Leading the cross-functional brand planning process.
* Collaborating with the sales team and relevant cross functional teams to drive effective implementation of campaign message communication and associated key tactics.
* Developing multi-channel marketing campaign materials ready for launch in the UK, including website development/enhancement. This includes tracking of marketing campaigns to evaluate results and provide recommendations for future marketing promotions.
* Utilising market research and analysis to drive strategic recommendations.
* Engaging and partnering with key external stakeholders for key tactical projects.
* Effective project management; scheduling and planning projects, estimating costs and managing projects to completion.
* Leading on sales forecasting and supply demand planning.
* Managing the submission of tactics to medical and legal review teams through management of the Veeva approval process.
* Working with our medical team to ensure cross-functional focus and alignment on key projects whilst ensuring compliance with all industry laws and regulations.
* Leading the quarterly UK commercial team meetings.
* Partnering with the ComEx lead to monitor and improve sales force effectiveness (analytics, reports, training, CRM, targeting, bonus systems, etc.).
* Monitoring competitor activity, messaging and positioning and adapting messaging in this fast-moving market.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
* At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 2 years in a Haematology marketing role- Oncology and sales experience essential, with Multiple Myeloma experience strongly preferred.
* BA or BSc degree - ideally in life science.
* Ability to develop a deep level of product, therapy area and competitor knowledge to ensure the optimal promotion of Menarini Stemline’s assets to UK HCPs.
* Ability to foster relationships, build alignment, negotiate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
* Sound knowledge of the NHS environment, organisations, systems, practices and management structures.
* Demonstrable experience of omnichannel marketing planning and implementation.
* Must be self-motivated, commercially savvy, with strong analytical, negotiation and influencing skills – must be comfortable with engaging all NHS stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
