We are currently looking to recruit an ambitious Wholesale Cash & Carry Assistant Manager for Southampton. This is an exciting and demanding role that requires flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends.
Reporting to the Cash & Carry Manager, you will support the Manager in ensuring high levels of customer service are delivered.
The successful candidate will be an excellent team player, with a flair for making sound commercial customer decisions.
Key Duties (but not limited to):
1. Flower knowledge essential
2. Support in maximizing the profitability of the Cash & Carry through effective control of sales, margins, and overheads
3. Assist in day-to-day productivity
4. Support in creating a customer/sales focused working environment with both employees and customers, encouraging the team to take pride in their work and focus on delivering high levels of customer service
5. Take initiative, spotting opportunities for growth by having a high level of knowledge of customers and their requirements and researching new opportunities
6. Be aware of our competitors so you can provide feedback to the site Manager and teams, as well as discuss with customers how we can improve
7. Support Site Manager on stock check within your Cash & Carry
8. Assist the manager to ensure Cash & Carry is manned to the expected levels and support manager for team training
9. Liaise with Human Resources to ensure compliance with statutory law requirements
10. Promote a safe working environment within your team and lead by example, ensuring all incidents, accidents, and near miss details are reported to the central HR team
