We have an exciting opportunity to join Westmorland and Furness Children and Families Service, as Team Manager of Support and Protect covering the South Lakes area. We are looking for an experienced individual who has the skills and knowledge to manage, motivate, and develop the team to deliver outstanding practice to children and their families.
As Team Manager, you will be responsible for a team of Social Workers providing assessment planning and intervention services for Children and Young people of Westmorland and Furness, working across the thresholds of Children in Need, Child Protection, and Cared for. It is crucial that you demonstrate professional leadership and work alongside others in the organisation and partner agencies to improve outcomes for the children and families.
We are looking for a team manager who can motivate their team to deliver outstanding practice and ensure consistent performance, role modeling our practice model and our culture and values.

DBS: This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with a Children’s Barred List check. Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with Children. It is an offence for people who are barred from working in regulated activity to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with Children.
