Salary: £47,683 - £52,426 depending on experience
What you’ll be doing:
1. Interpretation and understanding of test scenarios and data in Engineering systems
2. Test framework creation
3. Test script creation and maintenance
4. Test execution
5. Project reporting
6. Working collaboratively with the wider design, development and test teams
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
1. Software development experience - (VB Script or equivalent programming language experience)
2. Previous test automation experience on complex applications
3. Relevant degree or equivalent experience
4. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well with others
Desirable:
1. Experience or an understanding of OpenText UFT (unified functional testing)
2. Experience of Jira and associated test management tools for reporting

The Air Sector Engineering Systems Competency Centre (ESCC) team:
The ESCC provide IT and Software support for a large number of in house developed and COTS toolsets across various programmes within BAE Systems. We work with a variety of customers from various disciplines within the Engineering community.
Role Overview:
The role is to support the automation of regression tests for complex Engineering applications; so an appetite for problem solving and understanding the automation of intricate systems, use cases and technology is part of the role. The ability to take this work and integrate it into a common framework across a team of testers to allow for the development of robust, maintainable scripts for the long term is a key requirement.
