Mechanical design engineer (6 month contract)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our clients engineering team on a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical design, particularly within the automotive sector, and will be proficient in using NX software.


Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and design mechanical components and systems using NX.
* Work on composite design projects, including tooling and mould design.
* Ensure designs meet automotive industry standards and regulations.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.


Essential Skills and Experience:

* Proficiency in NX software.
* Experience in composite design.
* Expertise in tooling and mould design.
* Strong background in the automotive industry.


Desirable Skills and Experience:

* Experience with composite manufacturing drawings.
* Knowledge of metalwork and bracketry.
* Rapid prototyping design experience.
* Experience in electronic packaging.


Qualifications:

* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Proven track record in mechanical design within an electronics environment.
