Job summary PLEASE NOTE; The start date for this post will be no earlier than May 2025 A permanent opportunity has arisen for a role of a Support Manager withing the Waiting List Team covering GSVHN & UTOO Business Units. This is a key role in the management of the Clinical Business Unit and you will work closely with the Service Manager. In particular you will focus on the line management of the Waiting List Team Trustwide, ensuring patients receive treatment within the agreed waiting times and that the administration function with the business unit supports patient pathways. Main duties of the job To manage the day to day operational function of the waiting list team within the GSVHN & UTOO Business Unit ensuring that robust management systems are in place. You will be responsible for line managing the waiting list administration team. To work with the Service Manager and the Business Units to ensure recruitment, appraisal and development of waiting list team ensuring the service provided aligns to patient pathways and key performance indicators. Lead the development of a positive culture, which is conducive to service improvement and change. To manage and monitor the waiting list teams work performance including sickness management and take corrective action where necessary. Following mandatory training to meet the training requirements of new staff to include all aspects of duties required to undertake the post. Establish and maintain effective communication mechanisms to ensure all staff within the service are aware of the aims and objectives of the Business Unit and Trust.
