As part of Public Health, the Active travel team continue to support our community to provide an environment that encourages activity, including walking and cycling and be more active in their journeys.
To continue the growth of this service, the team are looking to recruit Active Travel trainers to support with the delivery of our projects.
The role will be responsible for delivering and managing existing projects, including Bikeability, School Streets, Active Travel community development projects and Road Safety Education.
You will have experience of delivering training to both adult and child groups and work involving the general public. You will be self motivated and well organised and able to work with minimal supervision.
You will be able to demonstrate a commitment to high standards of customer care.
You will be both IT literate and numerate and able to undertake site assessments and risk assessments, keeping clear written records for each. Knowledge of road safety education, active travel schemes, cycle training and cycle maintenance is not essential but would be an advantage.
