IT Support Engineer // 1st Line Support // Windows 10 refresh // Migration // up to 3 Months contract // Felsted (onsite) // £20-24/hours Reed Technology are working with a client in Felsted who require a IT Support Engineer. You will be handling first-line support and laptop/desktop builds (from image) for a significant device refresh project. Key Responsibilities: Handle support requests via phone and email. Resolve IT issues and provide user training. Install, configure, and maintain PCs, printers, and network devices. Monitor and maintain IT hardware and software. Manage software licences. Liaise with vendors and external service providers. Collaborate with the Works Department on IT specifications. Participate in a call-out rota and work one Saturday morning a month. Perform ad-hoc duties as needed. Essential Skills: Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows (10). Experience with PC hardware configuration (MDT/WDS). Self-motivated and able to work independently and under pressure. Good communication skills and teamwork abilities. Desirable Skills: Knowledge of FreeBSD, GNU/Linux, and Apple Macs. Hardware repair and software troubleshooting skills. Additional Requirements: Must complete a DBS check.
