Senior Architectural Technician

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Architectural Technician to join our Design and Technical department at Head Office in Measham. Our Senior Architectural Technicians play a vital role in our large, family-run business. You will have key working relationships with the Senior Architectural Manager, Architectural Managers, Regional Offices, and all members of the Group Design Department. Our commitment to excellence means you can play a crucial role in maintaining the already high standards of a genuine industry leader.
MAIN DUTIES
1. Producing and managing, with guidance, the working drawings for house types and/or adapting standard house type working drawing in accordance with agreed planning drawings.
2. Liaising with the regional offices regarding any queries relating to the planning drawings and working drawing requests.
3. Handling site queries when they arise.
4. Liaising with structural engineers and other third-party consultants relating to working drawing matters.
5. Attending meetings that may be necessary in the performance of your duties.
6. Complying with and upholding company policies and procedures.
7. Undertaking any additional tasks as may reasonably be required from time to time.
8. Maintaining all health and safety aspects associated with Covid-19.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES
1. Previous experience in a Technical Dept. with a housing developer or similar environment.
2. Minimum HNC in construction or related subject.
3. 5 GCSE grade 4 or above including maths and English (or equivalent).
4. Ability to use AutoCAD in a professional environment.
5. Enthusiastic and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines, whilst working accurately and coordinating a variety of roles.
