Role Outline
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to work in the fast-paced environment of Formula 1. This is a unique chance to combine your expertise in occupational health with the thrilling world of motorsports. You will be part of the Formula One team and be based on site at client’s location in the East Midlands 4 days a week. The role is part of a multidisciplinary service which includes a team of Occupational Health Physicians and CMO support for clinical escalation. We are also happy to accept applications from candidates who are looking for a full-time position as we may be able to offer some remote working.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver comprehensive case management for employees, providing expert advice and support.
* Conduct part of the health surveillance programmes to monitor the health and wellbeing of the team, particularly focusing on issues related to the motorsport environment.
* Manage travel health aspects for the team, including pre-travel assessments, vaccinations, and health advice for global travel. (Training can be provided)
* Work collaboratively with HR, health and safety, and medical teams to develop and implement health policies and procedures.
* Provide health promotion and education on a range of topics relevant to the team.
* Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting in line with professional and legal standards.
Essential Requirements:
* Registered General Nurse with NMC registration.
* Post-registration qualification in Occupational Health (Degree/Diploma).
* Proven experience in an occupational health setting, with strong case management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse workforce.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Proficiency in IT and record management systems.
Desirable Attributes:
* Knowledge of health issues related to motorsport or high-performance sports environments.
* Experience in health surveillance and screening programmes.
