Electronics Development Engineer
About the Opportunity:
We are recruiting an Electronics Development Engineer for a leading manufacturing manufacturing company on the Hertfordshire/Essex border.

Role Overview:
- 🤝 Collaborating with design engineers to ensure products meet technical specifications.
- 📑 Creating detailed test plans, procedures, and reports, while coordinating with external testing partners for EMC validation.
- 🛠️ Designing and automating production tests, as well as investigating warranty issues.
- ⚡ Performing electrical design verification tests, accounting for worst-case scenarios, stress calculations, temperature effects, and safety regulations.
- 🔍 Analysing electronic circuits to identify and resolve issues, and working with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion.
- 🖥️ Assisting with PCB fabrication processes and utilising design software such as Altium Designer (or similar). Experience with C/C++, CAN bus systems, and reverse engineering is a plus.
Candidate Requirements:
- 🎓 Minimum of 2 years' post-graduate experience in an R&D environment.
- 💡 Test development experience
- 📏 Proficient in using electronic testing equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, signal generators) and familiar with EMC standards
- 🧠 Strong analytical skills, with experience in electrical design verification testing and troubleshooting circuit designs.
- 🔄 Adaptable and flexible, capable of managing changing priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Educational Requirements:
A degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field is essential.
