Job Title: ServiceNow Developer Lead
Location: Chiswick, London / Milton Keynes – Majority remote working with the requirement to go to the office on business needs.
About the role:
Due to growth, we have a brand new permanent ServiceNow Developer Lead vacancy reporting into our Head of Digital Workplace.
In this role you will lead the ServiceNow developers, assisting in the management of the development team for the implementation and maintenance of the ServiceNow developments. Identifying opportunities in delivering business value.
The majority of ServiceNow work will relate to the ITSM module, components, and integrations. It will potentially involve further modules including ITOM, HR, etc.
You will work closely with the Head of Digital Workplace and other Digital Workplace team members to ensure a coordinated response to requests is generated and transfer the knowledge of the ServiceNow application and modules to the user community.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the ServiceNow development team members.
2. Ensure that development work is completed on time and to a high standard.
3. Work closely with project managers, functional consultants, and other teams to ensure that development work is aligned with business requirements.
4. Provide technical support to other teams and help resolve technical issues.
5. Hands-on delivery of change requests for ServiceNow modules.
6. Influence and recommend solutions for the prioritisation strategy for new requirements, to provide an audit trail, transparency.
7. Develop existing and new processes by analysing and identifying areas for modification to improve the "As Is". Utilising and assigning in maintaining the administrative tools (Azure Dev Ops and ticketing system)
8. Maintain systems by monitoring, identifying and correcting software defects.
9. Write and maintain code specification and business functionality/user documentation. Maintain documentation.
10. Analyse the performance of the ServiceNow enterprise platform to take action to correct deficiencies along with other team members.
11. Provide build estimates for assigned tasks / work items.
12. Undertake development of scoped product features and enhancements as per business requirements.
13. Liaise with internal business stakeholders to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs.
To be successful in the role, you will have;
14. Substantial experience working with ServiceNow.
15. Experience with ServiceNow Integration especially with service graph connectors.
16. Demonstrates capability of proactive end-to-end ownership of product delivery including delivery to estimates, robust hosting, smooth release management, and consistency in quality.
17. Demonstrating in-depth knowledge and experience working with workflows in one or more key areas of the ServiceNow platform (e.g., ITSM, CSM, ITOM, SecOps).
18. Strong experience in Scripting and ServiceNow APIs.
19. Good knowledge of JavaScript.
20. AJAX, XML, JSON, CSS, and HTML. - Nice to have
21. Proficient with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
22. Strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
