We have exciting opportunities for recent Civil Engineering Graduates to join the UK’s largest and most diverse geotechnical and ground engineering contractor. What you'll be doing Support the management of site operations, to ensure safety, quality, cost effectiveness, timely production and customer satisfaction Assist in planning and sequencing of operations, including writing method statements and risk assessments, and procuring sub-contractor, labour, plant and material resources Implement operational quality control measures and QA processes Develop work plans, method statements and risk assessments Monitor the progress of project works Take a proactive approach in the responsibility for Health and Safety ensuring all required documentation is in place Ensure full communication across all management levels within the project Attend regular meetings with the client to discuss and appraise performance Ensure that all operatives are provided with the necessary resources, materials and information for the carrying out of their duties and for ensuring that safe working practices are followed Complete quality inspections to ensure work is completed to a safe standard. Conduct self in a way that reflect and promotes the Van Elle company values. Understand and act in accordance with Van Elle’s policies and procedures. Any other tasks that you may reasonably be required to undertake Who we're looking for Degree in Civil Engineering or similar Be able to demonstrate practical experience from construction or similar transferrable skills Experience with AutoCAD preferable IT competent in Microsoft packages Valid CSCS would be beneficial Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work effectively to deadlines and under pressure Good attention to detail and accuracy of work Effective planning and organisation skills A structured approach to problem solving Have excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical, mathematical and technical skills Knowledge of the relevant legal and safety regulations Other Requirements: Eligible to work and live in the UK. Flexibility to travel in the UK. A full driving licence, that is valid in the UK (desirable) What you’ll get in return: Competitive salary depending on experience.
