We are looking for a Payroll Manager to join a rapidly-growing Accountancy firm based in Ellesmere Port. This role is ideal for someone who is ready to provide exceptional advice to clients, support and develop a team, and thrive in a fast-paced, engaging environment. As a Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of client payrolls and ensuring the performance of the Payroll Team.
Day to Day of the role:
* Oversee the management and support of the Payroll Team and its performance.
* Manage a portfolio of medium to large sized multiple client payrolls, including the day-to-day administration, RTI submissions, processing end of year forms, and auto-enrolment.
* Prepare weekly and monthly client payrolls, including data input, reconciliation, payslip generation, and client reporting.
* Provide technical support on payroll, PAYE, and some basic employment matters.
* Liaise with third parties such as HMRC and pension providers on behalf of clients.
* Maintain regular communication with clients both over the phone and face-to-face.
* Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external contacts.
