THE ROLE
The Deputy Manager role is to partner with the Location Manager to drive the business and the location’s achievement of KPIs while coaching the team to achieve excellence. You will be accountable for the successful operational running of the location in the Manager's absence and be an inspirational ambassador of Ted, understanding and promoting the company’s “Mission Statement” and “Vision”.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensure the team maximizes sales potential by the correct use of all resources, leadership, and team motivation.
2. Deliver effective recruitment, training, and motivation of the team. Adapt personal, interpersonal, and managerial behavior to enhance the company brand values.
3. Ensure store and team members are presented to the highest possible standards in line with brand expectations.
4. Be competent in product knowledge and provide regular feedback to Store Manager on performance and opportunities.
5. Reflect the values of the brand with integrity and respect for others.
6. Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
7. Be competent in knowledge of store performance and have a keen awareness of the local market.
8. Follow policies and procedures and complete administrative tasks correctly and on time.
9. Partner with Store Manager and Central Operations team on all back of house operations.
10. Collaborate with Store Manager in areas of risk management, physical security, and inventory management.
11. A strong digital focus with the ability to embrace and drive new initiatives.
TOOLS OF THE TRADE
1. Previous sales and team management experience.
2. Previous retail sales experience in a high-end, contemporary environment.
3. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
4. Leadership.
5. Proactive and positive attitude.
