We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Vet Surgeon to lead and mentor the team at a first opinion small animal practice in Monmouthshire, South Wales
* full time permanent opportunity working 40 hours over 4 days a week with 1 in 4 Saturday mornings on a rota and no OOH
* practice is modern and well-equipped with Bio-Chemistry and Haematology Idexx machines, Digital x-ray processors, Ultrasound, dental machines and multiparameter monitors.
* role will involve acting as Clinical Lead, consulting with clients and performing surgeries along with leading, managing and mentoring the Vet team.
* role would suit either an existing Head Vet looking for change or an experienced Vet looking to step up.
* role requires strong clinical experience and ability to lead, mentor and manage a clinical team.
* specific areas of interest will be highly supported
* Well located with the cities of Bristol, Newport and Cardiff are all within a reasonable commute and the beautiful South Wales coastline, the Forest of Dean and Brecon Beacons.

Person Requirements
* Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
* Registered with the RCVS
* experienced Vet with good medical and surgical experience
* able to lead, mentor and manage a clinical team.
