Are you an experienced SEO leader ready to take ownership of strategy and performance for one of the UK’s most recognisable brands? At RAC, we’re on a mission to become the number one provider across a portfolio of core products, and we’re looking for an SEO Manager to lead that charge through organic search. This role will be delivered on a flexible hybrid model of working three days from home and two days at our Bradley Stoke office in Bristol. What you’ll be doing You’ll take full ownership of monitoring, initiating, and executing cutting-edge SEO strategies and best practices to drive organic traffic growth across the RAC domain. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining strategic vision, technical know-how, and stakeholder collaboration to optimise rankings for high-value commercial keywords. With a blend of technical, on-page, and off-page SEO expertise, you’ll ensure that our key landing pages are performing at their best and our domain authority remains strong. You will: Own SEO performance and lead the delivery of a multi-million annual SEO revenue target Manage two SEO Executives, providing mentorship, 1-2-1s, coaching, and development Oversee a dedicated third-party SEO agency, ensuring delivery against KPIs Lead planning and execution of short- and long-term SEO roadmaps that align with RAC’s growth strategy Prioritise actions to increase visibility and rankings across a portfolio of strategic products Champion SEO as a key stakeholder across all RAC business areas Collaborate with the Content Editor to ensure our DRIVE content hub is optimised for SEO impact Provide data-led performance reporting, insights, and recommendations weekly Maintain technical SEO health and lead promotional roadmap delivery Ensure FCA compliance and uphold the highest on-page standards Manage SEO budgets, tools, and agency payments What we’re looking for: Strategic commercial experience with a track record of delivering SEO-led growth Proven team leadership, ideally line managing SEO or Owned Media specialists Solid experience across technical SEO, content optimisation, and outreach Strong commercial acumen – able to connect SEO strategy to business objectives Experience managing large-scale domains and maintaining technical SEO health Agency management experience – building relationships, driving value, and hitting targets Excellent communication skills – you can translate SEO into actionable business insight Proficient in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and on-page SEO tools Deep understanding of Google algorithm updates and their impact Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with competing priorities In return, we offer… At RAC, our colleagues do whatever it takes to help our customers.
