Baker Hughes and the OFSE segment provides products and services for onshore and offshore oilfield operations across the lifecycle of a well, ranging from exploration, appraisal, and development, to production, rejuvenation, and decommissioning.
Sondex Wireline, a Baker Hughes Business, designs, manufactures, and sells downhole equipment for optimizing the search for and production of hydrocarbons. We build on the 30-year heritage of the Sondex, Tensor, Reuter Stokes, and Geolink product lines.
Our customers are oilfield service companies, who run operations at the well-site on behalf of oil and gas companies.
Partner with the best:
* Support the Shop Floor in troubleshooting (e.g., PCBA fault finding); disposition of Non-Conformance Reports (e.g., Rework/Return to Vendor/Scrap).
* Support the Shop floor in reducing the Standard Cost and Lead Time of a product.
* Support Supplier improvement activities.
* Develop manufacturing processes for New Product Introduction and production tools.
* Ability to use statistical analysis to identify trends and identify cause and effect relationships.
Skills:
* Create/Update Manufacturing Documentation (Assembly/Test Instructions).
* Design necessary fixtures, tooling, and test boxes.
* Apply LEAN manufacturing techniques to eliminate/reduce waste.
* Justification and implementation of new equipment.
Qualifications:
* A Degree in Engineering is preferred. However, the minimum required would be an HNC in an electronics discipline.
Desired Characteristics:
* Experience in a Manufacturing or Production Engineering role, which includes providing Shop Floor support.
* Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and provide efficient solutions, fault find down to component level as required.
* DOE testing to determine the factors affecting inputs and outputs.
* Six Sigma, Shainin experience.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
* Bring new ideas and positive support to the current process.
* Flexibility to complete tasks to required deadlines.
* Ability to work cross-functionally and prioritize multiple projects.
* IPC Class III inspection.
