Are you an experienced Finance Manager who would like to work for an organisation that is passionate about making a positive impact in the community? This is a part-time role, working 28 hours per week. The company offers hybrid working with 1 day per week based in the office, normally a Tuesday. The option for remote working may also be available.
As the Finance Manager, you will receive 38.5 days holiday pro rata including Bank Holidays and Christmas Shut Down, with additional holiday increases with service up to 43.5 days pro rata in total. The position offers a competitive salary of £42,000 per annum full-time equivalent, which translates to £33,600 per annum for part-time work, depending on experience.
As the Finance Manager, your duties will include:
1. Preparing monthly management accounts for the leadership team, ensuring accuracy and compliance
2. Managing year-end financial processes and reporting
3. Supporting budget holders with budget management and income/expenditure planning
4. Preparing and submitting reconciliations for funders
5. Completing accounts payable processes
6. Creating and monitoring financial reports including cash flow forecasting, restricted income monitoring, and long-term forecasting
7. Processing an outsourced payroll and handling any queries
8. Making recommendations to the Board and advising on best practice
As the Finance Manager, you will have:
1. Proven experience as a Finance Manager or Management Accountant
2. Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
3. Experience working in the charity sector and managing funding streams would be an advantage
4. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders
5. Experience in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero
6. You may have experience in any of the following roles: Financial Manager, Accountant, Finance Officer, Bookkeeper, Financial Controller, Accounts Manager, Charity Accountant, Treasurer
The salary for this role is £42,000 per annum full-time equivalent / £33,600 per annum pro rata / £23.07 per hour.
