Job summary The Corporate Governance & Membership Officer will work with theCorporate Governance team in the effective delivery of acomprehensive corporate governance service to the Trust. This willinclude ensuring the Trust's Council of Governors are supported tofunction effectively and members are fully engaged with the Trust.The role will deliver a professional, confidential, and high qualityadministrative and logistical support service to the Trust's Board ofDirectors, Board Committees, and Governor meetings, to includeagenda production and management, timely production of papers,advanced minute-taking and follow-up of actions as required fromthe meetings. As Corporate Governance and Membership Officerthis role will be a key contact and support for Trust Governors andMembers. The role will assist in the establishment, coordination,maintenance, and ongoing development of a range of corporategovernance processes and systems, which ensure statutory andregulatory compliance. Main duties of the job In partnership with clinical colleagues, ensure that activity and qualitytargets are achieved and develop action plans to manage anyvariances.o To lead on the interpretation and application of Trust policies onbehalf of the directorate/division, using judgement and discretionas required.o To contribute to Trust policy development as part of the Trustoperational leadership team.o To develop operational policies and operating procedures on behalfof the division.o Take responsibility for ensuring maintenance and quality assuranceis in place for all equipment resources.o Have operational and strategic responsibility for pathwaymanagement and delivery of performance targets for all specialtieswithin their Directorates. Include waiting list management, cancerstandards, workforce and finance.o Be responsible for operational effectiveness, capacity and demandmanagement and ensure pathways are optimised to supportperformance targets and financial targets, including wastereduction.
