The Centers of Expertise (CoE) drive product and application innovation and include these developments in the product roadmap. CoE’s ensure that product information is reliable, complete, and accessible for all ERIKS employees that need this information. CoE’s also have a process in place to ensure that suppliers and products are consistently meeting our quality standards. The CoE is a virtual, international working team that is not tied to one ERIKS location or Country Business Unit.
For our CoE Power Transmission we are looking for a European Product Manager .
Together with your team you collaborate with Product Management and Product Leadership in each country to coordinate best practices, the roll-out of central initiatives and to deliver on the product roadmap for the CoE Power Transmission.
The team consists of two Data & Digital Specialists and another European Product Manager (based in the UK).
Main Responsibilities:
* Maintaining of the Product Group assortment (consisting of A-B brand products, own brand- and unbranded products).
* Support the CoE Lead in developing a European brand and product strategy (product market combinations) and a product roadmap that is supporting the commercial objectives.
* Developing competences, capability and knowledge within the CoE and develop activities to share with the wider ERIKS organisation in pursuit of business growth.
* Providing an optimal, complementary mix of own brand / other brand products in the assortment with a strong position of own brand products.
* Selection of suppliers (unbranded and own brand products) jointly with Strategic Procurement.
* Managing of the product lifecycle process from product development to end of lifecycle of a product.
* Setting the market positioning, pricing, and margin of own brand products and manage the marketing of own brands (such as website, literature, datasheets).
* Conduct market analysis and initiate requirements sessions with colleagues and customers (in multiple countries) to further enhance the product group’ assortment and solutions, including new product development.
* Supporting local product management in optimizing commercial results related to the product group assortment, by introducing new products and related (digital) solutions.
Your profile:
* At least 7 years’ relevant experience within a relevant commercial technical work environment (MRO/OEM);
* Good knowledge of pneumatic power transmission products and its applications in general. Work experience with other power transmission products like bearings or lubrication is a plus;
* An analytical and structured way of working, including strategy formulation and deployment based on facts & figures;
* Result-oriented and always looking for a solution for each challenge;
* Strong communication skills and persuasiveness;
* Excellent command of the English language. A good command of Dutch, French or German is a plus;
* Willingness to travel within Europe (+/- 30%);
* You're based in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland or the UK.
