Role Overview
Due to internal promotions we are looking for a hands-on problem solver with a keen eye for detail. Do you have strong technical knowledge and a solid understanding of machinery? If so, we want you to join our dynamic production team at Irca!
As a Technical Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring production efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and supporting operational success. You will be responsible for driving productivity, supporting audits, and standing in for Team Leaders when required. If you thrive in a fast-paced, technical environment and are eager to learn, we want to hear from you!
Working a rotational shift pattern, over 3 rotating shifts: 6:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00, 22:00-06:00 (8hr shifts) based at our site in Bretton, Peterborough. Monday – Sunday (24/7 coverage possible)
Key Responsibilities
* Stand in for Team Leaders when required
* Ensure workplace Health & Safety procedures are followed
* Drive productivity to meet KPI targets within timeframes
* Maintain clean and tidy work areas (GMP standards)
* Manage time effectively for team and daily tasks
* Ensure product quality meets specifications the first time
* Communicate effectively across all departments
Experience and Knowledge
* Strong equipment and machinery knowledge
* Good leadership, coaching, and team support skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively
* High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
* A team player with a "can-do" attitude and adaptability
