Bridgeman Recruitment Services Ltd (Agency) are looking for an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to join an established client of ours within the plumbing, heating, renewable energy and M&E industry and on a full-time permanent basis.
You will be responsible for managing a team, overseeing the successful delivery of projects, from estimating/tendering and negotiation to execution and completion.
Job Summary:
• Prepare and submit competitive tenders and proposals for residential homeowners, new build, design & build and development contracts in the plumbing and heating sector
• Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring that all terms and conditions are clear and favourable
• Manage the contract schedule, budget and scope, ensuring that any changes or variations are properly documented and approved
• Project Management, oversee plumbing, heating and renewable energy projects such as Heat Pumps, Solar etc.
• Manage and oversee a team of engineers
• Liaise with and manage client relationships, attend client meetings etc.
Key Skills Required:
• Essential you have proven experience as a Contracts Manager or Operations Manager or within a similar role
• Experience in the plumbing, heating or air source heat pump sector is essential
• Preferably with experience dealing with new build, homeowners / domestic housing or house builders
• Excellent knowledge of contract law, procurement processes and industry best practices
• Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure
• Full UK driving licence
