Job Description
Responsible for instrument maintenance work on site, including planned, preventive, and reactive activities. This ensures that site reliability and integrity are maintained to the required legal and company standards. Work will be carried out as part of a shift team.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
1. Ensure that all Environmental, Health & Safety requirements are met during maintenance tasks.
2. Report any accidents or near misses as per our health and safety policy.
3. Raise relevant work permit requests, accept and follow the permit, isolation procedures, and other related safe systems of work. Complete and contribute to risk assessments associated with maintenance duties.
4. Perform scheduled maintenance according to the company maintenance plan to support the operation of the production site.
5. Identify and rectify equipment defects related to your specific trade.
6. Assist the Workshop Manager in promoting a safety culture (BBS, Near Miss reporting, TBTs, Chemical Awareness, Process Safety Management).
7. Participate in Accident, Incident, Near Miss (AINM) reviews and evaluate the workshop's safety status.
8. Engage in safety management activities, including routine plant safety checks.

* Quality: Ensure tasks are completed right the first time, minimizing rework by adhering to quality and performance standards.
* Fault Finding & Improvement: Perform fault diagnosis and implement improvements to reduce recurring equipment failures.
Skills & Qualifications
Relevant Trade Qualification as an Instrument Technician.
Desirable
Recognized Level 3 education certificate, such as NVQ or HNC, in a relevant engineering field.
Essential
Highly driven and self-motivated, KPI-focused.
Ability to work under pressure in a manufacturing environment.
Good organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, comfortable in highly technical or shopfloor settings.
Experience in maintenance, calibration, and testing of temperature, pressure, flow, level, analyzer instrumented systems, and other plant instrumentation.
Familiar with using computers for allocating, receiving, and signing off maintenance work.
