Pay -£14,414.40 per year.
Our site at Recycling Centre, Fosse Way, Syston is looking for a 24 hrs per week Part Time Caretaker. The hours will be Tuesday to Thursday 8am - 4:30pm. This will include a half hour break for lunch.

What you'll be doing
As the Caretaker you’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Syston site for building compliance and day to day site management.
Key elements of the role include:
1. Responsible for the supervision of relevant contractors when they are on site ensuring RAMs and sign in procedures are followed.
2. Carrying out regular H&S / Building compliance checks (Fire Safety, Ladders, etc).
3. Look after the sites, associated fixtures and fittings. Carry out minor repairs to plumbing, heating, electrical and mechanical equipment, etc., including on-going usage, liaising and monitoring of external contractors.
4. Help colleagues and external users to plan activities which use equipment and facilities.
5. To ensure all areas are clear of waste & deliveries are processed without delay.
6. To liaise with the relevant departments and move products from non-stores via company van.
7. To carry out stock checks on holding equipment stores at Fosse for the Facilities teams (ie, baskets, trolleys).
8. To support and pick any stock holding items to be shipped to different locations when required.
9. Ensure waste skips are filled correctly and left for collection on the pre-arranged dates.
10. To inform Maintenance Helpdesk of potential issues.
11. Carry out weekly litter picks of main staff car park and daily picks from within loading bay/bin store area.
12. Ensure sufficient materials are kept on site to carry out any repairs/weather related issues.
13. To carry out audits throughout Fosse Way daily and identify any shortfalls.
14. To accept, sort and deliver all deliveries and then deliver to recipients at regular intervals (furniture, parcels etc).
15. To support the buying teams with moving products, building furniture within the building.
16. Returning samples back to relevant teams' area when returned from other sites, including BLINK studio and press events.
17. Samples being returned to suppliers – being there to ensure they are collected.
18. To provide adhoc cover for the caretakers at Store Support Centre.
19. To operate Forklift Truck to move stock/product.
20. To operate the baler to ensure Dunelm recycling policy is complied with.
21. To carry out any other tasks as required by the company.
