Main duties of the job
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join the paediatric pharmacy service? You will share the role of specialist dermatology pharmacist working with our tertiary service within Southampton University Hospital. The service is provided by the same clinical team across both adult and paeds, you will only provide support for the paediatric element.

Job responsibilities
The successful applicant will provide a specialist clinical pharmacy service to paediatric dermatology patients in collaboration with another full-time dermatology pharmacist who works across both adult and paediatric service, providing expert pharmaceutical advice. This post also includes:
* Attending multidisciplinary ward rounds.
* Developing evidence-based treatment guidelines and shared care guidelines in conjunction with specialist consultants/pharmacists.
* Supporting prescribing/screening and introduction of high-cost medicines for dermatology.
* Teaching pharmacists/students and members of the multidisciplinary team.
* Active membership of the paediatric pharmacy team.
* Audit and research opportunities.
What we're looking for
You must be an enthusiastic pharmacist, committed to team working with good communication skills combined with experience in paediatrics. Previous experience in dermatology is not essential. We are able to provide training and staff development as experienced pharmacists and rotational staff will support you.

Qualifications, knowledge and experience
* Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
* Registered with General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experience.
* Can demonstrate Advanced Stage 1 competencies in the RPS Advanced Pharmacy Framework in relation to medical or surgical patients.
* Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
* Sound knowledge of clinical pharmacy services acquired while working within a suitable specialty.
* Experience of audit and evaluative work.
* Experience of supervising others.
* Teaching and tutoring experience.
* Experience of implementing change and change management.
* Development and implementation of guidelines and procedures.
* Experience of change management.
* MSc in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experience.
* Can demonstrate Advanced Stage 2 or Mastery competencies in the RPS Advanced Pharmacy Framework in relation to medical or surgical patients.
* Leadership qualification or experience.
* Training in medicines information.
* Sound understanding of healthcare priorities and political agendas.
* Experience of managing others.
