Do you have experience working within a school environment, overseeing examinations? We are currently looking to appoint an Examinations Officer and Customer Services Manager to join our thriving academy in supporting the management and organisation of examinations at Harris Garrard Academy.
About Us
Harris Garrard Academy is an all-through 3-18 academy with approximately 1500 pupils on roll and joined the Harris Federation as a sponsored academy in September 2017. In our recent 2021 Ofsted inspection the Academy was rated GOOD in all areas on a strong and consistent trajectory of improvement. The academy is based in Thamesmead in a purpose-built building. We are now on a journey towards “Outstanding”, led by highly experienced executive principals with proven track records of school transformation. Main Areas of Responsibility
The purpose of your role will be:
* To manage the Academy's examinations, both internal and public exams and be responsible for senior administrative support to the Vice Principal and academy in relation to events and 6th form support.
* To manage and lead the academy's reception team, ensuring an efficient and professional manner is maintained at all times.
* To provide a focal point of communication between staff and visitors at all times.
This will cover the following general responsibilities:
* To be responsible to the Vice Principal for the management and administration of the academy examination process and to provide senior administrative support to the Vice Principal and academy, including responsibility for the school CENSUS and organisation of whole school events.
* To organise and supervise administrative systems within the school. Contribute to the planning, development and monitoring of support services and/or management of admin support staff, including the coordination and delegation of relevant activities.

Qualifications & Experience
We would like to hear from you if you have:
* NVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualification or experience in a relevant discipline.
* At least five years' experience of effective public exam administration and organisation in an education setting.
* Experience of using Microsoft Office Suite.
* Experience of using Bromcom or other MIS.
* Evidence of excellent organisational skills and methodical and accurate working.
* Experience of and ability to work strict deadlines, including external deadlines, set by exam boards.
* Experience of providing effective and efficient senior administrative support.
