Location: Flexible : Birmingham, Glasgow, Newcastle, Cardiff
Salary: Up to £75,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.
THE ROLE
As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you will be an Expert Individual Contributor and, as required, lead a team of Data Operations Managers. You will be an expert on delivering complex Data-led initiatives across large organisations, often working across departmental boundaries and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
You will be accountable for the planning, delivery and overall day-to-day coordination and management of a portfolio of workstreams that underpins our Data Strategic Vision. Responsibilities include:
1. Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, promoting transparency, collaboration, and innovation in outcome delivery.
2. Overseeing the Data portfolio & end-to-end delivery process, from project initiation to successful delivery.
3. Identifying and managing project risks, dependencies, and impediments, and implementing mitigation strategies.
4. Ensuring commitments to stakeholders are met and any alterations to expectations are fully documented and communicated.
5. Championing agile best practices and providing coaching and mentorship to teams and individuals.
6. Collaborating closely with key stakeholders to align on project priorities, timelines, and resource allocation.
7. Working closely with finance, procurement, vendors & your data stakeholders to manage and control expenditure.
8. Facilitating cross-functional collaboration and effective communication among team members and stakeholders.

You would have experience in:
1. Deep working knowledge of Agile and its implementation.
2. Leading and delivering Data-led initiatives in large organisations.
3. Creating leadership level communications on complex topics.
4. Navigating procurement processes and managing Vendor performance.
5. Coaching teams to utilise OKRs for delivery.
6. Creating and maintaining programme and project plans with robust risk management.
7. Mentoring and coaching colleagues in delivery practices.
8. Leading multiple complex cross-functional teams.
9. Making significant improvements to an organisation’s ways of working.
10. Managing scoping and sizing of large complex pipelines of work.
11. Demonstrable experience in a technical/systems/backend delivery environment.
Beneficial experience:
Previously worked in a data environment or understand key concepts of Data Product Management, Data Governance, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Architecture or Data Operations.
