Fulbridge Social Care is recruiting both experienced and trainee Youth Workers to join our casual team in working within children’s residential homes and independent living settings. We seek flexible, reliable, and interactive individuals eager to work in a specialist environment where full training and qualifications, including Team Teach, Child Protection, Working with Self Harm, and the Diploma 3 for Children and Young People, are provided to suitable candidates.
The role involves providing security, guidance, interaction, and support to young people with challenging behaviors and complex needs in residential or independent living environments. The goal is to create an environment that addresses the young person’s intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.
You will work with young people aged 11 to 18 who have been placed into care for various reasons and who exhibit a range of disorders, behaviors, and needs. Therefore, confidence, patience, and the right skill set are essential to make a positive impact.
Responsibilities include supporting young people throughout the day with tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, education, and shopping. You will also interact with professionals like Social Workers, Probation Officers, and Police Officers, supporting the young people in environments such as classrooms, courts, and police stations.
A valid driving license is essential, as you will be required to drive the unit car and transport young people to destinations like family contacts, school, and social activities.
Please note that an enhanced DBS check and successful completion of our induction assessment are required before placements can be offered.
