Divisional Manager - Legal Finance & Accounting
We are supporting a leading global firm with their search for an experienced Tax Manager to join their finance team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to ensure tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the preparation of corporation tax computations and tax disclosures for statutory accounts.
2. Provide support with other corporate tax matters as required, ensuring ongoing compliance with corporate tax obligations.
3. Ensure international tax compliance for all overseas offices.
4. Handle general withholding tax management and resolve related queries.
5. Manage correspondence and compliance with HMRC and other tax authorities globally.
6. Collaborate with internal finance teams to provide details on accounting processes and transactions.
7. Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end tax disclosures in IFRS.
8. Draft initial year-end tax provision calculations.
9. Review transfer pricing policies and ensure documentation is up to date.
10. Advise on taxation implications of overseas workers and employee secondments alongside external tax advisors.
11. Act as one of the primary contacts for HMRC and external tax advisors on all tax matters.
12. Support the Senior Tax Manager on individual partner tax and LLP partnership tax, including:
1. Partner tax reserving calculations and reconciliation of balances.
2. Preparation of LLP partnership tax computation/return.
3. Assisting in partner tax payments to HMRC and the accounting thereof.
Skills and Experience:
1. Accounting and/or Taxation Qualification, or QBE.
2. Extensive experience in individual and corporate partner taxation and related accounting.
3. Experience working in a partnership environment preferred but not essential.
4. Strong attention to detail with a methodical and logical approach.
5. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
6. High levels of confidentiality, discretion, and diplomacy.
7. Confidence in dealing face-to-face with partners, with the ability to impart complex financial information meaningfully.
8. Highly organized with an eye for efficiencies and improvements.
9. Ability to work under pressure and prioritize conflicting requirements effectively.
10. Ability to work independently to research and provide advice on technical tax matters, coupled with forward planning skills.
11. Hardworking, flexible, and willing to undertake ad hoc projects and duties within a small team.
