Position: Intervention Tutor Location: Residential Setting or Public Library, Derbyshire Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM Pay: Dependent on skills and experience About the Role: As a tutor, you will provide personalised educational support to students who require an alternative to mainstream schooling. You will work in a nurturing residential environment or a public library, offering tailored instruction that meets the individual needs of each student. Your role will be pivotal in helping students achieve their full potential, building their confidence, and fostering a love of learning. Key Responsibilities: Deliver one-on-one tutoring sessions in core subjects (e.g., English, Math, Science). Create and implement individualised learning plans. Engage students using creative and adaptive teaching methods. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and encouragement. Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to education. Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. What We’re Looking For: A qualified teacher or experienced tutor with a strong understanding of the challenges faced by students in alternative provisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate and inspire students with diverse learning needs. Flexibility and adaptability in your teaching approach.
