About the Role
The IT Service is looking for a friendly, outgoing individual with proven experience in a front-line IT Service Desk role. You will support over 6,000 employees and partners across various sites in Nottingham, providing high-quality customer service, troubleshooting hardware, software, and services, and supporting internal and partner organizations.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
* Utilize technological tools to investigate, diagnose, and resolve issues.
* Forward complex technical support issues to specialized teams when necessary.
* Possess excellent troubleshooting skills for hardware, OS, network, server access, and voice communication problems.
* Provide first-time fix resolutions and support for laptops, tablets, mobile phones, and software issues.
* Handle customer inquiries via phone, face-to-face, and support tickets.
* Maintain excellent customer service and communication skills, keeping customers informed.
* Have an understanding of Network Security, Information Security, and Data Protection.

You must be able to work on a rota covering the Service Desk hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00.
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience in a front-line IT Service Desk role.
* Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Azure administration, and familiarity with Microsoft technologies such as Windows 10/11, Office 365, VoIP, and corporate applications.
* Excellent troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, networking, and telephony issues.
* Ability to prioritize and deliver results under pressure.
* Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
