Full job description
Are you a caring person and want to make a real difference in other people’s lives? If the answer is yes, then we would love to hear from you!
We are currently recruiting for care workers to assist our clients in their own homes throughout the Staffordshire area. We provide support to a range of clients from young adults to the elderly within their own homes and out in the community!
If you are passionate and want a job where no day is ever the same, come and join our team of support workers.
The role will be to assist our clients with domestic tasks around their home, meal preparation, medication, and any personal care elements, as well as any social support they may need when in the community, such as going out shopping, day trips, hospital visits, etc.
Full training will be given to all care workers, inclusive of a thorough induction covering medication, care certificate, moving and handling, and first aid prior to starting your shadowing period.
HOURS: We offer flexible working patterns. We have full-time and part-time positions available, which can include morning and evening shifts.
Part-time care workers can work hours over two days a week, while full-time care workers can work full-time hours over four days a week to ensure you have more family time if this is better suited to you!
All carers are contracted hours and no zero-hour contracts unless this is what you require!
LOCATION OF ROLE: One large benefit of working for Amarris Healthcare is that we ensure our care workers are kept within the area they live, minimizing travel and reducing fuel costs for our drivers!
Main duties and responsibilities include:
* Supporting the registered nurse in the implementation of an agreed plan of care with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received.
* Helping to promote and maintain an environment conducive to meeting the needs of the patient, relatives, and carers.
* Contributing to the legality and accuracy of the patient’s care plan and other reports, and the effectiveness of the established communication/reporting system over the full 24 hours.
* Assisting the patient to ensure they have the opportunity to meet their individual dietary requirements, ensuring all patients receive their chosen and correct meals.
* Escorting stable patients to and from all homes to departments within the hospital.
