Job Title: M&E Maintenance Estimator

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) Maintenance Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for maintenance contracts, ensuring competitive and profitable pricing while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Estimating & Tendering: Prepare detailed cost estimates for M&E maintenance projects, including labour, materials, subcontractors, and overheads.
2. Technical Analysis: Interpret mechanical and electrical specifications, drawings, and schedules to develop precise costings.
3. Supplier & Subcontractor Liaison: Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
4. Bid Preparation: Develop and submit competitive tenders and proposals for new and existing maintenance contract clients.
5. Risk & Value Management: Identify and assess potential risks, ensuring contingency measures are in place while maximising value for money.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with the technical services team and operational teams to ensure estimates align with company capabilities and strategic objectives.
Key Requirements:
1. Proven experience in M&E maintenance contract estimating within the facilities management industry.
2. Proven experience in preparing labour loading and cost estimates using the SFG20 industry standard for building maintenance specification.
3. Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance services, contracts, and industry best practices.
4. Ability to read and interpret M&E drawings, specifications, and contracts.
5. Proficiency in estimating using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
6. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
7. Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
