We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper/payroll assistant (full-time). The position is based in Leighton Buzzard, and the candidates will ideally have three years minimum bookkeeping experience. Previous experience in using Xero and Sage software is required. Payroll experience would also be preferable; however, training can be provided. The role would include working and communicating with multiple clients and HMRC on a regular basis. Attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines with high quality output is a must. Working Hours: 09:00am - 17:00pm, Monday to Friday. FULLY OFFICE BASED. Duties would include but not limited to: Creation/data entry of sales and purchases invoices. Reconciliation of bank statements and control accounts. Preparation of Profit and Loss/Balance Sheet reports, VAT Returns and trial balance for Management Accounts. Monthly journal entries to include wages, prepayments and accruals. Running of monthly payrolls to include pension uploads. Ad-hoc admin as required. Additional information: Expected start date: ASAP. Contract: Permanent. Probation period: 3 months.
