Lead the design, development, and review of Construction portfolio of training programmes from Level 1 to Level 3, ensuring they align with awarding body and funder requirements, as well as employer needs.
Ensure curriculum delivery is engaging, innovative, and incorporates practical and theoretical learning.
Maintain compliance with regulatory and funding requirements (e.g., Ofsted, awarding bodies, Combined Authorities).
Line manages a team of staff to include undertaking appraisals, absence monitoring, first line performance management and other relevant duties.
Responsible for successful achievement of agreed metrics, including success rates, recruitment, attendance, curriculum delivery and development, learner progression, quality of teaching and track learner progress.
Work with the Director of Delivery to undertake business planning for the curriculum including timetabling, staff cover, staff recruitment, working closely with Management Information Systems.
Work with the Director of Quality and quality team to improve the standards of teaching and learning including conducting classroom observations, mentoring new staff and tracking of all learners’ progress. Establish an ethos of high expectation in relation to learner progression, achievement, personal development, recording off the job, Information Advice and Guidance and destinations.
Monitor learner attendance, flagging concerns to senior management as appropriate.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry changes and complete relevant CPD (Continuing Professional Development).
Stakeholder engagement to ensure that curriculum meets industry requirements.
Uphold company policies and ensure all health and safety regulations are met.
Managing the implementation Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Adults, Prevent and Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety and SEND Code of Practice, ensuring dissemination across the training group.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
A proven track record in adult education and training, including responsibility for managing a team and development of the curriculum is essential.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to engage and motivate the team.
A minimum of Level 3 Teaching Qualification.
An understanding of public sector funding.
Key results/objectives:
The Curriculum Manager will play a key role in overseeing curriculum development, quality assurance, and staff performance within RMF Training. The successful candidate will lead on both quality and innovation, ensuring the effective development and delivery of the Construction and Wider Curriculum.
