An exciting career opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading independent practice specialising in Cost and Project Management, with a strong emphasis on the power, utilities, and nuclear sectors.
The company is well-regarded for its dynamic and professional environment, driven by a leadership team of experienced and fee-earning Directors.
To support their growing success in the Nuclear Sector, the firm is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work closely with one of their key clients in Chester. This role offers a motivated individual the chance to play a pivotal role in high-impact nuclear projects, contributing to the firm's continued success and advancing their career within a top-tier consultancy.
The Role:
* Preparing tender and contract documents
* Undertaking cost analysis
* Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies
* Performing risk, value management and cost control
* Advising on procurement strategy
* Analysing costings of tender returns
* Advice Clients on forms of contract suitable work works tendered
* Providing advice on contractual claims
* Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports
* Valuing completed work and advising Clients of payments to be made
The Quantity Surveyor:
* Flexible in relation to travel
* 2 years + experience with Consultancy, Client or Contractor
* Currently working towards MRICS or relevant professional body
* Confident and Client facing individual
* Extensive NEC and contract administration experience
