Job Purpose:
Organising, planning and ensuring a successful execution of events, ranging from Tradeshows, Staff Conference and New Directions Christmas Grottos.
We are looking for a part time (1 day a week) experienced Event/Party Planner for a period of 3 months. The ideal candidate will need to be flexible with working days/hours.
Main Duties:
* In collaboration with SMT define and manage the theme of the annual staff conference,
* Liaise with venues, caterers and suppliers
* Arranging / sourcing decorations etc
* Arranging travel and hotel stays for staff.
* Working in collaboration with SMT to creatively manage the New Directions Christmas Grottos over 2 locations
* Collaborating on promotion of the events and assisting in obtaining sponsorship
* Booking of Santa’s and elves
* Sourcing and purchasing of presents for children
* Ensuring locations are decorated appropriately
* Management of the Santa booking system for both locations
* Assisting in arrangements for trade shows
* Collaborating on promotion of event
* Liaise with vendors / traders to attend
* Administration of the event, to include guest lists etc
* Meet and greet on day of event
* May be required to travel to other business sites across the UK as required
Main Responsibilities:
* Budget management experience

* Experience of event planning and communication (both internal and external)
* Experience of planning multiple events simultaneously
* Ability to manage logistics

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Must have valid UK Driving Licence
* Excellent administration skills, with the ability to minute take
