About the Role Smile Dental Centre are recruiting a practice manager ideally to work 4 days per week. The main responsibilities of the role include:
1. Ensure that the practice meets regulatory and contractual standards whilst remaining financially viable;
2. Providing solid leadership, based on a sound knowledge of business management, finance, planning and human resource management, including recruitment;
3. Driving innovation and modernisation;
4. Meeting the reporting requirements and complying with local and national KPIs and contracts;
5. Co-ordinating and leading the operational delivery of the services, engaging with staff, patients etc;
6. Presenting and analysing data, to monitor quality;
7. Attending meetings;
8. Effectively managing staff;
9. Developing effective partnerships, with other organisations, to benefit the practice;
10. Taking responsibility for security, repairs, insurance and maintenance of the premises, services and equipment;
11. Ensuring that the practice complies with all aspects of Health & Safety at Work legislation;
12. Managing all income, expenditure and accounts, as well as preparing financial reports;
13. Implementing and maintaining systems, under direction from the partners;
14. Handling patient enquiries and suggestions, including oversight of the practice-based complaints procedure;
15. Reviewing and updating the practice’s information leaflet and website;
16. Handling practice publicity and health education materials;
17. Being involved in managing the computer system, including organising any maintenance and developments to the system;
18. Ensuring practice compliance with data protection legislation;
19. Preparing practice business plans and annual reports, as directed.
About the Candidate
20. CQC experience;
21. Experience working as a practice manager;
22. Skills to motivate and drive a team forward;
23. Private and NHS practice experience;
24. CQC registered manager;
25. Book keeping experience;
26. Social media skills;
27. Be reliable, mature, punctual, willing to learn, presentable and hard working;
28. Possess the ability to work under pressure;
29. Have some experience in medical/dental sector;
30. Be passionate about dentistry;
31. Some experience of management will be desirable;
32. Able to demonstrate and excellent can-do attitude;
33. Excellent organisational skills;
34. A fast learner and team player;
35. Treatment coordinator skills and experience is desirable.
