All benefits subject to availability About The Role Named after the 17th hole of the Old Course, the Road Hole Restaurant is the beating heart of the hotel. With its commitment to using only the finest local ingredients, breathtaking views and exceptional service, it's no wonder why the restaurant has earned such a prestigious 3 AA Rosettes rating. An opportunity for an experienced Supervisor to join our fine dining team here at The Old Course Hotel has become available. This position would suit either someone with recent experience in a supervisory role within hospitality, or strong waiting experience in fine dining with the desire to develop into a supervisory position. The role will include staff management, developing your team, maintaining high standards of service and presentation, inventory and quality control, being the designated leader on shift and overseeing operational aspects while providing a 5-star experience and creating lasting memories for our guests who travel from around the globe to visit us. The Ideal Candidate To be successful in this position; - You will have previous experience of at least 2 years within a hospitality role, preferably in dining but all hospitality experiences will be considered. - You will have previous experience in training and developing members of your team to uphold standards and strive for constant improvement. - Good wine knowledge is required, with the ability to recommend wine and dish pairing options. - WSET Level 1 is preferred, but not essential. - You will have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks. - You will deliver a warm and welcoming experience, playing your part in making their stay at The Old Course as exceptional as it can be. - You will have a keen eye for detail and an organised approach with the desire to exceed guest expectations. - We need an enthusiastic approach towards your role and to our guests, striving to provide the world-class experience they expect. - You will be a team player with strong communication skills and a positive attitude. - You will have the ability to engage with guests, helping them however you can and make their visit to the Road Hole Restaurant memorable.
