Job Description
Location: Birmingham
Contract: 6-month interim
Hays is currently working with a Birmingham-based council to recruit a Project Manager for a 6-month interim contract, paying £400 per day.
As part of this project, the council has created a Local Net Zero Accelerator (LNZA) to develop the structures for creating and managing a portfolio of investable Net Zero projects and to get the first projects into that pipeline. This will include working with colleagues to set up a Technical Assistance Facility (TAF) that should serve, at a minimum, the needs of both LNZA and the Retrofit Pilot.
Main Responsibilities:
• Expand upon pre-existing work to understand the needs and requirements of Retrofit Pilot projects from a technical assistance facility.
• Strategically utilise allocated resources for Retrofit Pilot programmes to provide an effective and comprehensive TAF, including potential external support from organisations such as Salix and the ‘Rise’ service from Turner & Townsend.
• Collaboratively design and implement a Technical Assistance Facility for the Retrofit Pilot.
• Provide technical advice and critical friend support to Retrofit Pilot projects, signposting and utilising external support resources where applicable.
• Use learning from the Retrofit Pilot TAF to inform LNZA's immediate and future TAF needs.
