ABOUT THE ROLE:
You will be required to read technical drawings to carry out the forming and construction of the product to the tolerances stated in a timely manner, working within the health and safety guidelines.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintain customer deliveries of the fabricated fittings to achieve on time delivery against service offers.
Read and interpret engineering/technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication of products.
Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
Fabricate and assemble structures and components using a range of hand and power tools.
Using a range of tools including – mig weld tracking, seam weld and grinding, rolling of flat bar and T bar, guillotine, auto feed saw, punch press, radial arm drill.
Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Meet production targets while maximising efficiency.
Carry out quality inspections, identify defects and take necessary action to rectify them.
Ensuring the safe and controlled movement of production parts.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following all health and safety regulations.
Work as part of a team to develop continuous improvement.
ABOUT YOU:
Previous experience within a similar fabrication role from a manufacturing environment.
Time served apprenticeship an advantage.
current knowledge and experience in Fabrication.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is essential.
Understanding of manufacturing processes.
The ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Excellent time keeping and attendance.
