Job Title : Data Manager, Hydro International Data, Insight & Analysis Ltd Location: Theale Job Type : Full time, hybrid Reporting to: Head of Operations, DIA Hydro International – Data Insights & Analysis ltd, (formally Hydro-logic Services) a CRH Company, is a leading UK provider of advanced data services and expertise to help municipal, industrial and construction customers to improve their water management processes, increase operational performance, and reduce environmental impact. Hydro International -Data Insights and Analysis has been operating in the UK for around 40 years and undertakes data analysis and collection for a variety of customers nationwide. We compile, quality assure and issue data reports to clients relating to water levels, water quality and discharge. We operate and maintain the Hydro-Logic® Flexi Logger 105 equipment installed at around 1,400 sites across the country. We offer services to major clients as well as smaller local authorities and parish councils when needed. Our flood water monitoring systems provide invaluable data to communities affected by heavy rainfall. The Data Manager will be responsible for: Managing the data processing and reporting for the Theale Office. To include writing reports, processing hydrometric data, tracking workload sheets, advising data technicians on what data to process and reviewing quality assurance maintenance reports before issue to client, project management and proposal writing. The post-holder will also contribute to the effective and profitable operation of Hydro International Data, Insight & Analysis Ltd and Hydro International Ltd. Physical Requirements: · Drivers Licence Required · Passport Required Competence & Qualifications: Degree in relevant subject (e.g. Environmental Science, Geography, Engineering) Experience of taking field measurements and processing hydrometric data Experience with use of the company Time-Series database Data Manager Key Duties: · Manage the workload of the Theale based data team, ensuring all data is processed correctly and in a timely fashion. · To keep the workload sheet up to date. · Regular liaison with PMs to ensure that data is delivered in line with current priorities. · Tracking of data turnaround times and reporting to the Head of Operations, DIA on performance of the data team, against defined targets, on a monthly basis, including projection of workload for the team over the next 3-6 month on a rolling basis. · To ensure all data from Field Technicians is on the server and to ensure that no data is missing. · Provide regular feedback to Field Technicians and PMs on data quality and reporting issues. · To write reports to DIA standards. · Quality assuring maintenance reports and issuing data to clients, under the overall authority of the PM for the project. · Make sure all Time view checks are completed every Monday morning, ensure the sheet is up to date. · Data processing. · Attendance of AQUARIUS Implementation Group Meetings, and active participation in actions to ensure consistent use of AQUARIUS software across the company. · Continually checking target levels and weather forecast for low and high flow gauging’s, for projects managed from the Theale Office. · Ensure that pre-visit calls are made to clients or landowners where required, and oversee the RAMS being issued on a weekly basis. · Any other other duties which the company may reasonably require the individual to undertake. · Ensure compliance with and implementation of company Health and Safety policies. · Ensure compliance with and implementation of company Quality and Environmental policies. · Line Manager to Data Technicians including the responsibility of timesheets etc. · Project management and writing of proposals for projects/clients that have been allocated to the Data Manager.
