Were recruiting for a new Director of State Pensions in DWP. Youll need to be a good communicator and influential leader, and be able to deliver personally and through others. You will need a depth and breadth of both policy and strategy experience.
This role is advertised as a "Job Share". You will work in tandem with another Director of State Pensions to deliver this important, impactful job seamlessly. Wed expect you to work the equivalent of around 3 days per week but this can be discussed during the process.
Your role is key in the Governments response to the strategic challenge presented by an ageing population, and in delivering against DWPs goal of reinforcing financial resilience in later life.
There are many big Pensions leadership jobs. But if you want to really shape how state pensions work in the UK, in the short term and the very long term, you can only do that here and in this role.
When big strategic decisions about pensions need to be taken, and when new policy initiatives and changes need to be delivered that falls to you, and your team.
You lead relationships across government to deliver outcomes in line with government priorities, including as a key adviser to the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions and Ministers of State.
