FINTEC recruit is supporting an established and successful manufacturing business based in the Highland region, near Inverness, for a Health and Safety Manager. This is a permanent position with a salary up to circa £50,000, depending on experience, plus benefits. Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will be joining an H&S team working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Reviewing and continuously improving and developing the internal safety management system, ensuring compliance.
2. Be a lead in promoting health and safety across the business and for projects.
3. Advise personnel across the business on health and safety matters.
4. Compile safety reports and maintain all relevant documentation.
5. Ensure minimum exposure to workplace hazards and achieve 100% compliance on site.
6. Involved in leading a safety committee group and sub-groups.
Skills and experience required for the Health and Safety Manager role:
1. Degree qualification (desirable) in a relevant discipline.
2. Qualifications in Health and Safety (NEBOSH or equivalent).
3. Previous experience in a Health & Safety Management role is essential.
