Suitable candidates will ideally come from a marine background or other heavy industries but must be Apprenticeship/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualified. You will be involved in the installation and maintenance of piping systems on marine vessels.
Due to the nature of the contract, you must be eligible for MOD Security clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assembling and installing pipe systems on marine vessels
* Identifying and rectifying issues with existing piping installations
* Ensuring all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations
* Collaborating with the engineering team to interpret blueprints and schematics
* Conducting routine maintenance and inspections of piping systems
* Documenting all work carried out and updating maintenance records
* Adhering to project schedules to ensure timely completion
* Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Job Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Pipefitter
* Previous marine experience is advantageous but other heavy industries will be of interest
* Strong understanding of pipe fitting techniques and tools
* Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Eligibility for security clearance (BPSS clearance to be processed upon approval)
